Brief Overview For Courses, Time Table
Alagappa University was brought
into survival by a Special Act of the Government of Tamil Nadu in May 1985 with
the purpose of fostering research, expansion and broadcasting of knowledge in different
branches of learning. It is a pioneer of higher studies in the state of
Tamilnadu and presently, it proffers Post Graduation courses in 43 different stream
of Arts, Commerce, Science, technology, Management, and Education. Distant from
other Masters Degree programs, it also offers a Master of Bank Management
program which is an unique course designed to improve education in field of
banking management including other management specializations.
The University, separately for
the regular classroom classes, also provides different Under Graduate and Post Graduate
level programs through Distance Education. The university proffers 08 courses
at the UG level and 13 courses at the PG level and admission to all the programs
through distance mode is simply based on merit of the students in their preceding
qualifying examination. For admission to various courses, it also organizes
separate entrance tests, medical tests, fitness tests, interviews and group
discussion rounds in order to calculate the courses, while, for some courses,
admission is simply based on the merit of the students.

Challenged students are exempted from the payment of Tuition fee and Special
Fee and SC / ST candidates are also exempted from paying the tuition fee,
however, they need to pay all other fees.

from registrar’s office. After getting admission form with prospectus, students
need to read the notification cautiously before apply to this and then need to
apply in a proper channel to avoid any kind of problem held during the process.

that those who do not report for joining and / or do not pay the required fees
