Tamil Nadu
Teachers Eligibility Test will be held on 29th and 30th April of 2017.
Interested applicants can submit online TNTET Application Form till last date
that is 23rd March 2017. Sale of Application form will be opened till 22nd
March 2017 and Tamil Nadu TET is conducts for those candidates who want to
pursue their career in teaching field and become teachers in primary (class I
-V) and upper primary (VI-VIII) schools in the state of Tamil Nadu. Candidates before

TNTET Eligibility Criteria
For Paper I:
Candidates
who have passed HSC (10+2 Pattern) and Diploma in Teacher Education / Diploma
in Elementary Education (passed D.T. Ed., from States other than Tamil Nadu,
their certificate should be evaluated before Certificate Verification) from a
Recognized Teacher Training Institute / DIET.
Candidates
who are appearing for the Final Year Examination of D.E. Ed. during the current
Academic Year (2016–2017) are also permitted to appear for Paper I in the
Teacher Eligibility Test. However they will be issued with TET certificate
after producing D.E. Ed., Diploma Certificate.
For Paper II:
Candidates
who have passed a Degree in B.Ed. or Bachelor’s
Degree (B.A. /B.Sc. / B.Litt.) with Tamil, English, PCM, Botany, Zoology,
History and Geography as major subjects or equivalent subjects from a
Recognized University under 10+2+3 Pattern.
The
candidates with B.Lit., (Tamil) degree should possess either B.Ed. or D.T. Ed.
or TPT. Candidates appearing for the Final Year Examination of B.Ed. during the
current Academic Year (2016 – 2017) are also permitted to appear for Paper II
in Teacher Eligibility Test.
Age Limit
Candidates
who are going to apply must be more than 18 years and less than 38 years of age
is required. Relaxation in age will be given to the reserved candidates as per
the norms of organization.
Application Fee
An amount of
Rs. 500/ as Application charges has to be paid by general category candidates. And
candidates from reserved categories including (SC/ST) are required to pay Rs.250/-
as an Application fee. Candidates can submit the application fee using the
online method through debit card/ credit card and net banking.
Selection Criteria
Selection of
the deserving candidates for this Primary Teacher/ Upper Primary Teacher
recruitment will be made on the basis of individual’s performance in written
exam organized by the selection team of the association.
- Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test will consist of 2 parts that is paper I and Paper II.
- The candidates have to perform their best and score the minimum 60% marks to crack the exam.

Personality and Assessment, Social, Emotional and Moral Development, Nature of
Educational Psychology, Mental Health, and Hygiene, Intelligence and

Counseling, etc

TN TET Paper 1 Exam Pattern
The pattern
of Preliminary exam is: The Paper 1 Exam will have total of 150 marks questions
which are divided in 3 sections; namely Child Development and Pedagogy,
Language I, Language II, Mathematics, Environmental Studies and section will be
having total 30 numbers of questions in each so this in total this section will
be of 100 marks, time allotted for exam will be 90 minutes Hour.
TN TET Paper 2 Exam Pattern
In the TN TET
Paper 2 exam there will be 4 subjects;
- Child Development and Pedagogy
- Language I
- Language II (compulsory) and
- (For Mathematics and Science teacher) & (For Social Science teacher)
The pattern
of mains exams will be: The duration for completing this examination is of 90
minutes, their sum of No of Questions are 30 question in 1, 2 & 3 sections
only as listed above, but 4th section will be having Total number of Questions and The Total
exam (all together 4 sections) is of 150 marks.

- Eligible and interested contenders must apply through online process from the official website that is www.trb.tn.nic.in.

- Select “here for Notification and Syllabus” PDF Link from the appeared page.
- Now, “Apply” and Fill Online Application Form with correct details in prescribed manner
- Read out the full details properly and follow the complete procedure for getting the online application form.
- Fill all the mandatory details in application form and must upload the asked scanned documents in correct manner.
- Documents required for filling up Online Application Form are as scanned copy of recent passport size photograph, scanned signatures, etc.
- On completion with filling of application make payment of application form and submit it.
- Please take a print out of this application form for future use.

in case of offline payment or System generated form in case of online payment. Certificate
in support of the category & self attested copy of Caste certificate (for
SC / ST / OBC category candidates only)

attested copy of the disability certificate/ Mark-sheet/ certificate from 10th
to P.G. Degree, NET / JRF / Fellowship award letters etc, NOC / sponsorship
letter from present employer, if employed and Mark sheets of courses
