Eligibility criteria for UPSC Recruitment

Aspirants who want get enrolled with Public Service Commission in any department must qualify the here mentioned eligibility requirements. Aspirants must have degree or diploma in relevant stream from recognized university or institutions with relevant work experience for applying UPSC Notification. Contenders should be citizen of India a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee satisfying certain conditions or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka or some specified East African countries and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Selection Structure 

Union Public Service Commission conduct three phase for selecting the most talented and appropriate contenders. Paper-I

•  History of India and Indian National Movement

• Indian and World Geography – Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World

• Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc

• Economic and Social Development Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc

• General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change – that do not require subject specialization.

• General Science

Paper-II

• Comprehension

• Interpersonal skills including Communication Skills

• Logical reasoning and analytical ability.

• Decision-making and problem-solving.

• General mental ability.

• Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. – Class X level).
